Their Story: Deme’s first husband left shortly after Woyneshet was born. Eventually, Deme remarried a man who provided for the family. However, about 8 years ago, he sexually assaulted Woyneshet and is now serving time in prison for that crime. Deme has struggled to provide the necessary financial and emotional support for her daughter since that time.

Goals for the Future: Deme wishes to sell clothing and simple home goods in the local market. Monthly support will help make this dream a reality and allow her to provide for herself and her daughter.
