Meseret Gisuu

Their Story: Meseret lives in Legedadi, an area just to the northeast of the Ethiopian capital city of Addis Ababa. Meseret is a single mother, trying to make ends meet by selling goods on the roadside near her home. Meseret’s daughter, Ebisse, is 12 years old but only in 3rd grade in school (4 years behind) because her mother rarely has money to pay the required school fees. The family is desperately in need of support to help stabilize and set things on the right track.

Goals for the Future: Meseret is determined and a hard worker. She looks forward to meeting with ABF4K staff to make a plan that will enable her to provide better opportunities for herself and her daughter.

Your monthly support will provide financial training, health and hygiene education, parenting classes, and counseling. It will also cover instruction, support, and mentoring to establish and run a small business to secure a bright future for this family.
