Mulu Mengiste

Their Story: Mulu lives in Legedadi, an area just to the northeast of the Ethiopian capital city of Addis Ababa. Mulu is a married mother of two, but her husband left with the Ethiopian National Army 4 years ago and hasn’t been heard from since. Her life has changed drastically. She’s found herself raising two children alone and struggling to provide for her family. Mulu makes and sells injera (Ethiopian bread) in the local market as a means of income.

Goals for the Future: Mulu looks forward to working with ABF4K staff to grow and expand her business to provide better opportunities for herself and her children.

Your monthly support will provide financial training, health and hygiene education, parenting classes, and counseling. It will also cover instruction, support, and mentoring to establish and run a small business to secure a bright future for this family.
